Bear whistled and  Hela gulped the last remains of the fish, and then hover in the air and quickly disappear from view.

"Lady Giulia one day I brought the peregrine falcon injured, he could not fly, and it made her nervous and suspicious"Orso remember the injured arm of Lady Julia"was not easy to gain his trust, but somehow she and I are similar and saw it, it took some time and a lot of fish"and again eccheggiò a loud laugh.

Orso said the Baron Berton carefully, numerous scars in various parts of the body, as he saw him was a sign of honor and courage.

"Baron, we are both men of war, although very different, but when the battle is over the war is not part of my thoughts ... the should be some mug of beer at the tavern? As you may have heard that Andernach is pretty good and tomorrow there will be no time to do it "concluded frowning

Without waiting for an answer he went to the inn.

Berton guardò gli altri e commentò "Mi pare un'ottima idea, a patto di non esagerare. Per quello avremo tempo più tardi. Andiamo?"

Berton looked at the other fellows and said " It looks a nice idea, if we won't drink in excess. We could make that then. Shall we go?"

Shortly after, handling a cup of beer, Berton started again talking with Orso.

"Seeing you with Hela, I doubted you were characters of the misterious tale. You know, the warrior escorted by an hawk daytime, the lady escorted by a wolf when night... Nothing really so strange, as I know a not-dead queen. Anyway we encounterd before she was buried and come out from grave"

"Ho sentito vagamente quella storia, ma purtroppo non sono io, ma soprattutto non è Hela!
La verità è che nella parte iniziale della mia vita al Nord, avevo un falco, simile a questo, ma mi è stato ucciso mentre cercava di difendermi, ero molto giovane e non ancora esperto e forte".

Lo sguardo di Orso parve perdersi indietro nel tempo in un'epoca remota, che stava cercando di dimenticare.

Months later, a second war campaign was over.

The guards at castle's gate weren't suprised seeing the visitor, but what happend around him was an uncommon show.

Lot of children were trying to caress a strange slim dog: little girls had more success than boys, as it rans away fast like an arrow when males approached.

Giulia was back in Andernach after the last Flemish campaign. Few moments of rest before starting again with daily duties.
She was in a quite big room near a fireplace, looking to dancing flames.
Sir Andries appeared at the doorway, waiting for some orders.
She smiled gently seeing him - Sir Andries, give proper instructions to the guards at the Rhine gate, please.  I'm waiting for a visit of Baron Berton, the Constable of Aragona Kingdom, and of his little friend...

Short time later, Berton and his little friend were admitted inside.

"Sorry for the bit of confusion at your door, Lady Giulia - said Berton bowing a little, meanwhile the little dog was running to sniff her noble feet - Felipe, stop now! Forgive me, lady Giulia"

Giulia burst out in a silvery laugh - Don't mind, Baron Berton for your little friend. It's really my pleasure to have both as guest in Andernach' castle.  Please, have a sit.

While offering her hand allowing Felipe to sniff it, she asked - Where did you find him?

 - Where did you find him?

It comes out from nomads seen somewhere north of Jerusalem. As you can see, it's the living version of my heraldic emblem. So I made them an offer, enough to buy an herd of camels, as I realized too late. It has several skills, and it's faster than better horses on short lenght. But it's also very independent, with little love for listening orders. Human males are out of its interests, out of me just Carlo Colonna seems an accepted leader; maybe because he simplyfied the noble name of Felipe Ignacio Domingo in a plebean Fido. Sadly, it has very little love for my king. It pissed on his boots, and similar behaviour doesn't help a knight's career. Hopefully Fabio had a laugh, otherwise I could be shorter about a foot, but on the opposit side.
But it loves women of any age like dog females. Maybe because of flavour.

Berton shaked his shoulders

We spoke enough about dogs. I guess that the Lyoness of Flandres has something to teach me, as I have some battle trick to teach.

Giulia smiled ironically, thinking to Berton troubles with King Fabio's boots - I see, Baron Berton. You should teach him diplomacy a little more...

Then she pointed to a table where a servant had just brought some food and red wine and she laughed again seeing Felipe who promptly had turned his head in the same direction - You must first ask to your Baron, Felipe.

It would be wonderful, Baron Berton. I do hope that the Constable of Aragona Kingdom has to teach me much more than I could can teach him, but I will be pleased to see and listen - she replied, her eyes shining for curiousity.

"All right, Felipe, just a little sausage and no more"

" You keep the secret of real fluency in moving, something that I barely approach. Dance instead of chopping wood, I'd say. Well, I'll show you some unusual hit after the lunch. Felipe isn't the only interested..."

Giulia smiled gently, nodding to a servant to pour some wine for both.
She paused for a short while, then she replied - Thank, Baron Berton. I will never have the same force as a man, so my training has been addressed in other directions from the very beginning.
I still remember some special lessons my tutor gave me in Milan, something he called "water dance" but I don't know which is the origin of this name. He traveled so much in his life...

She laughed and then she added - For the true, I felt me really like in plaster during the last campaign, due to iron armors.
I believe you are more used to this and you could teach me how to avoid this feeling. I will greatly appreciate.

"Just turtles feel really comfortable wearing plates. As for attack weapons: we were born with no horns on the head, little teeth, nearly inoffensive nails. We need steel exstensions to compensate our weak natural equipment, and lot of time to learn how to use them at best. Then human fight is filled with lot of surprises, you have to know hundreds of different tactics to use about ten and avoid ninety"

Later in courtyard Berton handled his sword in a strange manner: right hand on the hilt, left hand near the edge.

"That comes from stick fight. Being careful for your fingers, the center of a blade handled this way can stop any slash over knees line, even the most powerful. A strong defence, but no way to hit your opponent, apparently. Well, now try a descending cut on my head. As you can see, after the parade a little twist is enough to pierce your face or your chest. Best to know, even if you won't use, to avoid terrible mistakes" .

Later, Giulia drove Baron Berton into the courtyard in front of the armory of the castle.
The day was little windy but not really cold, since the sky was clear.

Giulia listened carefully, serious in face, Berton's words, looking at the way he was keeping his famous sword.  Then she smiled gently - It's really interesting, Baron Berton. Well, I can try...
She pause for a short while then added laughing - But have mercy on me, please.

Berton too had a laugh "Don't worry, Countess, it's just for training. After that we are going to try some other unconventional tactics"
