[ORP] Life for job, silence and expectation
« on: 11 March, 2013, 12:41:35 AM »
He was a young boy of Brescia. He had been born from farmers and his future it didn't seem to promise something different. Before moving to Andernach Milan it visited, gain her to her of the Duchy that it had seen him be born. Among various humble jobs Lady Giulia Aldobrandeschi knew and at the same time it heard voices that originated from the Flanders speaking of great projects and of job.

He was not expert, he was not a champion, he knew only how to work and therefore him decided to depart together with that group for this County.

Its first charge was that to fight in Scotland where it distinguished him with its halberd. But he was simple and it didn't look for the war how much a healthy and hard job.

Returned to Andernach he put to place an old house and it restructured it completely, as it was taught him by his father. He didn't speak very, he was silent and he worked for times and times dipped in his thoughts. It was strong even if not big. This was his life, constant job to build something around if, not for Glory but because it was child of farmers, this was what had been taught them.

From a few days he traveled for the regions of the fiandres to dig. It returned to deep night to house so tired to collapse on the bed and to sleep very hard. The morning later he traveled enough.

He found way to build a small garden in front of his house and to the piece of ground of earth that he was bought. In this, with an axe, hammer and nails, he was building a small coverage whether to be able, in the future summer, to entertain someone in the warm night summer of that lowland to sip some beer to the open one.

He didn't know a lot of people, rather it knew little of it. Perhaps it was strange.

Giulia met Michele, first time in Milan, during her Vassal period there.
Some hints, some conversations about possible perspectives.... she was favourably impressed about him: not so much words, but some clear ideas.

Michele left for Flanders among the firsts, thanks to a direct contact with the Count Harald.

Later, in Andernach, she had the opportunity to better appreciate his qualities: a committed worker but always kind with other people, a curious boy but alway polite in his manners. He did a great job fo the County, together all the others.

Now Giulia was happy he did find the time to improve his house, with a small garden in front of.
She was very curious to see which type of  plants and flowers he would planted.... she was an herbalist, definitely, and she loved flowers and plants so much too.

Spring is coming and with it the time of sowing to be surrounded by a cloud of scents and colors.... surely a wonderful dream.

Giulia had known Leirin long time before in a distant land, but solid friendship tied one to each other.
One day, suddenly, she decided to write her a scroll inviting her to join her in the Duchy of Milan, where she lived in those days.... even Cagliostro had just arrived, and Katerina as well. She knew that all together they would find a way to help each other and have fun.

Giulia smiled remembering the  Leirin dice winning: a fair amount of luck was the perfect ingredient for many soups that since then Leirin   laboriously produced for them and other citizens.

Later, others people joined the group, Bartolomeo from Milan, Orso from Ferrara and Michele from Brescia.
The departure for Flanders had been prepared with care by all, supporting each other once again.
The same care that now all were putting in building Andernach .... the  Leirin inn was working at full capacity and the garden of Michael was definitely becoming a splendor with the advance of spring.
In a short time she would come back to Andernach and she was just curious to see it.

---------------------

It was a gloomy day, and Leirin, finally settled, heaved a sigh of relief.
Her first days were frantic and chaotic .... but now it was finally time to celebrate the new life ... so he decided to organize a nice party at his inn!

Leirin called Michele degli Umberti, which had offered to make them as a merchant, and ask him to do a little bit of stocks for the evening, she asked to Katerina to create them a perfect dress for the evening, Giulia was asked to prepare some herb for flavoring flows and some other type to be burned as incense ... recommending not to take them from the field of Michele ...

Michele also commissioned to deliver during his trip, the official invitations to the other fellow citizens ...

Satisfied, she sat front of the fire in his inn, with Misty (her cat) curled up on her lap, watching the sinuous movement of the flames, finally peaceful and hopeful for the future.

Giulia had gone to Andernach just  few days before, only for one day.
It had been enough to nicely  talk with Leirin in front of the fireplace of her inn,  smelling  the tempting scents of her cuisine and lissenig about her numerous projects.

Giulia looked Leirin smiling - "What a wonderful project, my dear Leirin. I'm really glad you're so peacefull and full of ideas. We all need you and your enthusiasm!"

But above all, she had finally made the acquaintance of Brivido, the new Leirin's cat.  A big black cat, blissfully snuggled on the legs of Leirin, at least  until something more interesting did not require his attention.

They also took a walk around all the village, looking at the houses and fields ....
Giulia tried to peek inside the greenhouse of Ser Michele, but nothing to do...
They would have to wait his return to Andernach before its secrets were revealed.

-------

Giulia guardò Leirin sorridendo - "Dei bellissimi progetti, cara Leirin.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After having received the order of Dame Triskele, he was hocked to find how much she required. Brugge was found to for his trainings and now, after a little of time, he had returned to Andernach.

He had left that it was a next to take care of the garden that was building. The things also proceeded lens sight its profession that forced him for a lot of time away from its small cottage.

They told him that Lady Giulia was seen by those parts. Then it gave some indication to a pair of men of the country because they delivered her a letter and of the holes coming from his cultivations, part of which would have decorated the garden.

Quote
I am sorry, Lady Giulia, if I have not succeeded in showing you thing yet I am building but there isn't problem, will want still us some time.

I send you some examples of what you can see in the hope that you have the patience to attend here one meeting of ours in these your Land.

With observance

Michele

Then He directed himself toward the tavern of Dame Triskele bringing with if the commodity that had gotten for her.

Once to the whole one it looked for her with the look, tired because the weight was notable and him of certain it didn't possess burden animals.

"Benvenuto mercante. Avete fatto presto, cosa avete di buono per me?"

Michele posò il carico sul grande tavolo di legno e cominciò a tirare fuori pottery, salt, milk and a lot of fish.

"Fish! Fantastico!

ENGLISH VERSION:

"Welcome to the merchant. Did you soon, good thing you have for me?"

"Fish! Fantastic! will produce the first fish soup of the season!"

Leirin invited Michele to sit down and paid off by offering him a steaming soup of meat and melted cheese.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A lot of time had passed from when Michele had departed for Brugge. The job was so much and the very long road. Now returned in his small and humble house.

He had felt of so many noble in the cosmopolitan Brugge, of so many great names but him it didn't love that life. As always bashful and reserved it devoted him to the small things.

Definite therefore to see if its work was concluded and it made him help from the young people that he had assumed for giving a glance to its small ownership. He saw that everything was ready and he made to remove the cloths revealing some yellow and black tulips as the color of the Flanders. Some were grown with a strange pink color but it was normal that not everything spun smooth. It made a smile, it had taken a lot for selecting the seeds to plant them and permit to grow removing the flowers that was not he don't want. He was to the tithe crop.

Giulia also had another curiosity: the Sir Michael's greenhouse .
All  winter and spring long she had tried to guess what was hiding inside, without any result.

She turned the corner of the last house and saw an incredible explosion of colors.

Yes, the spring had arrived and Sir Michael had done a wonderful job. She would have congratulated with him as soon as possible, hoping dont embarrass him too much.

 "But.... where is he?"

----

"Good afternoon, Sir Michele. Indeed, it's a long time since we dont have the chance to meet.
I am glad to see you, me too.

I was very curious to admire the flowers of your greenhouse. "
- Giulia said, recalling how she had tried to guess what was growing inside at each visit to Andernach.

"You are a warrior, Sir Michele, but the passion that you show for flowers and plants is truly remarkable. These tulips are wonderful.
I think I will need your advice to design some things here in Andernach ..... What do you think about climbing roses in this climate?

I beg you pardon, now you will be tired after the day's work, we will talk about in the next few days. "
- She added, gently smiling to him.

Giulia had some ideas about projects and about what she wanted, but she was certain that the advice of Sir Michele would be more than appropriate.

------

"Buon pomeriggio, Sir Michele.

------------------------------------------------------

He made a bow to the Duchess and therefore he answered "my Lady, the climbing roses are very resistant but it depend from what desire. Is the sun to do the difference" it said calm and then he nodded "when you will want I will be to your disposition" it made another bow and it made back a footstep seeing closed the dialogue.

"Thank you, Sir Michele. I knew could counting on you.
I will come back from Brugge for the end of this week and we will evaluate the related possibilities "
- Giulia replied, gently smiling to him.
Sir Michael was not a great talker, but his kindness and his manners was always impeccable.

Before returning to Brugge, she still had to do an inspection by herself, in order  to think about in the meanwhile she was away.
She decided to start from the village's borders, then she will look at the castle's courtyards, too.
The day was warm, it would have been a pleasant walk.
----

"Grazie, Sir Michele.
