Richard was very tired.
Richard listened all very carefully.
He was still on the floor when Freya, Celestino and Roberto  spokened.
He carefully got up from the floor.
He undid his cloak.

The words of Pope Celestin has touched him.
A cold wind came to his face and he knew
it would be Christmas soon.
Suddenly from the top window a big raven came and rested on his shoulder. He carried a message from Prussia.
It wore the royal seal.

In his mind and in his heart he felt big changes coming in for him and his people. Some promises had been disregarded shortly before his arrival at the council.
Perhaps coming home, he would no longer represent Prussia.
He felt his beloved King was coming back.
Good, he thought, since my opinion is now superfluous and that at bottom the Pope could do what he said, I think I will withdraw what I said in this council except for my first sentence. I do not want this war, maybe I will withdraw all my armed forces and I will be willing to deal with them before my authority is completely denied and our Norman hystory will be completely forget.
He sat down slowly on the first chair that he found and removed the crown from his head.

He said, with a slow, husky voice:
May Deus have mercy for our souls.
May Deus and Odin and Theos have mercy for his faithful.
May Deus have mercy for me.
May Deus help me to bring in this big burden.

On hearing the Pope's last words, Teodoro blanched in the face. For the rest, he gave no evidence of any emotion. He took a pen and inkwell and quickly wrote a few lines on a parchment. When he had finished, he handed the message to a valet, to give it to His Holiness.
Quote
Holy Father, I would like to inform you that by now the transfuges of Rome and Sicily have fraternized with the Iberians. Fighting together creates strong bonds with a certain speed, which is why I have reason to believe that now here we have to deal with a single people. Difficult to say who supports who at this stage. In my heart, I sincerely hope that you can reconsider your resolution more calmly. I remain at your disposal in case you want to grant a private audience. "[/ Quote]

//OFF
@all x regents of Rome, Sicily and Arberia
If you continue fighting, just post a small rp and clarify it. I see no point to keep rest of the people not involved in war in some nice dreams which will never happen.

Like everyone else, Fabiotto listened to the Pope inveigh against Roberto di Stabia.
And then he got up.

"Your Holiness, do you think that this will bring the relic back to us?"
"Of course not. This will only give further satisfaction to those who now hold the relic. "
"The relic is lost. It's gone . There is only one chance in a million to take it back, that is, who has not been able to protect it,try to take it back, so it is useless to penalize those who feel rancor and revenge. They now count more with the facts than with the thousand words spoken in this council, so if this is what will happen, let it happen. If all the other theological kingdoms seriously want to recover the relic, they intervene with the their soldiers, the ones who every day make challenges and duels to be strong, otherwise let they fuck each other, just like our relic is fucked. "

Fabiotto started toward the exit, turned, bowed, and left the scene.

She listened to the Pope's words in shock. Was he asking her to not defend her land from attacks? If she continued to help with defending Ibeiran lands, would she be considered guilty by association? That made no sense to her. But then again, many things in this conflict, also didn't make much sense. Teos knew, she was tired of this silly war that was never hers to fight. She was tired of looking at the faces of her true Iberian family and seeing the devastation it was causing. Yet nothing seemed to be moving forward towards the much awaited peace. She wasn't sure if she should intervene to ask for a clarificatino of His Holiness's words as the Grand Prophetess was about to speak and she did not want to interrupt. She chose to remain silent and wait for a better moment to speak. She interlaced her fingers and stared at the Grand Prophetess, waiting for her to state the peace conditions.

(off: I know some of you have discussed this in discord, but I don't read most of it, especially since most of the time you speak in a language I don't understand. Berton, for example, is not even in discord. If the conditions for peace involve us, it is only fair for them to be stated here, not in external sites where we won't see them. I still don't know exactly what the conditions are. I ask, therefore, that they are stated here so they can be discussed properly. /off)

Celestino was tired, tried by a council that was not leading to anything. Days passed and nothing concrete had been done.
Some intervened without being questioned and with disrespectful and vulgar words: had this become the Theological Church? A bunch of irreverent arrogant and presumptuous people who thought only of their miserable garden and not the common good? Who had no respect for the Pope and therefore for Theos?
Some characters had left, others remained. Clestino resumed his word, his voice was heavy, tired, but he looked into everyone's eyes, then began:

I called this council with the hope of finally bringing peace, but now I realize that I have been a presumptuous one and I beg theos's forgiveness. I also ask forgiveness of all those people who believed in me and who brought me to the San Rocco's throne. Nothing I could have done before the arrogance and the presumption of man. I wish it was clear to everyone, however, that I no longer intend to support this absurd war. I invite the theological rulers who think like me to take a firm stand and declare their will.
That the kingdoms involved in the war take a firm stance against Deste Dormolo Proselite and his allies: that they declare themselves his allies or that they arrest him and hunt him from their territories.
To the rulers of Serbia, Italy and their allies, I appeal to take into consideration the decisions of kings and queens involved in the war and can act accordingly. We hope that wisdom and magnanimity can lead you to a solution of peace and harmony. We are certain that some kingdoms have been involved in a war that they did not want, I hope there is time to evaluate and forgive.
To the Grand Prophetess I ask once again what are the conditions to get back the Sacred Bones of San Rocco.

Celestino paused for a long time, then continued:
Now is the time for everyone to make decisions, you can not wait any longer. you can also continue this absurd war, but you will do it without me and without the Theological Church. Or you can choose the path of peace, arresting and condemning those who are the true cause of evil that has fallen on your land and your people like a shadow. Immanuel has taught us only one path, that of peace and harmony among the peoples, This is the path that the Church will do, I invite you to join me and to all those who decide to travel, it will be a difficult path full of obstacles but together we can do it. The alternative is to hand over the world, our things, all that we have prayed for, sweated, struggled with the Serbs and their allies.

When the sun had not yet risen to give light to the first day of that year, Celestino went to the chapel next to the hall where the council was held and loudly prayed:

In my distress I cried to the Lord *
     and he answered me.

Lord, free my life from the lips of lies, *
     from the deceitful language.

What can I give you, how to repay you, *
     deceitful language?
Sharp arrows of a prode, *
     with juniper coals.

Unhappy: foreign dress in Rome, *
I dwell among the tents of the enemy!
Too much I've lived *
     with those who hate peace.

I am for peace, *
but when I talk about it, they want war.

Glory to the Father and to the Son *
     and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning, and now and always *
     forever and ever. Amen.
