            Es recomendable echar un vistazo a los proyectos de construcción  en curso que dirigen los gobernadores de las diferentes regiones. Se puede ganar dinero vendiendo materiales (madera, piedra, ladrillos) y trabajando.


            It is recommended to have a look to the construction  projects launched by the vassals of the  regions. You can earn money selling resources, such as wood, stone and bricks; and then working at the building sites.

                                                                Changing citizenship


              If by any reason you are planning to leave your birthplace and settle in other realm, please read carefully the laws of the place where you want to go.

It is always appropiate to write to the Regent of the kingdom where you wish to live, and then to the Vassal where you want to settle, informing of your plans, and asking for permision. In so many kingdoms they will imprison you if you simply arrive to a place and just buy the citizenship. It can be considered as a silent invasion.

   A few examples of laws from kingdoms nearby:

If the offender does not abandon the Kingdom of Aragona changing residence (taking citizenship in other country) within the time allowed, we will proceed immediately to arrest the defendant for 3 days (accusation: disturbing public order). The arrest will be repeated as long as the offender does not leave the kingdom. If the convicted person, while maintaining citizenship of Aragona, took refuge at the borders of other kingdoms, the Magistrate will make sure to contact the local authorities of the Kingdom with which the condemned seek refuge, so that you can initiate legal cooperation.

Art. XI: Voluntary change of citizenship.

If a citizen residing in the Kingdom of Italy voluntarily decides to transfer his residence elsewhere, in the case he had:
- Received incentives that the government offered to those who study or train at the Academy or Training Camp,
- Received Government subsidies for any purpose (for financing activities, loans etc. etc.),
- Used resources (materials and/or human) of the Kingdom for the purpose of personal gain,
- Received any other type of benefit deriving from the territory of the Kingdom of Italy and its Government,

He shall pay to the King, in compensation, the sum of 500 silver coins.

If he refuses to rinfondere this sum, it will be punished:

Classification: Type D,
Target: Every citizen of Kingdom of Italy,
Punishment: 3 days in jail and a fine of 1.000 silvers.

A first NPC, small rat, has been introduced. NPC are like normal characters, they have an Artificial Intelligence engine but they have access only to a subset of actions. Their behavior is not publicly disclosed, and player will need to know how they behave from experience.

NPCs introduction
About (10% of game population) of NPC Small Rats will be added in the world. Every NPC has his own behaviour that is not disclosed.
A NPC may be or not maybe attackable.
If the NPC dies, it will be respawned after a certain period of time. The total number of NPC is capped accordingly to the numbers of active players.

I recommend that each time you go to the main square  (OFF/ you log in) make sure there is not a rat in the region where you are.
If you find one, kill it inmediatelly, just before you start praying, cleaning, crafting or mining, because rats eat food put for sale in the markets. We still don´t know if rats eat something else than cheese and soups.
Please report when you see/fight a rat, so that we can study their behaviour and think how we are able to minimize the damage they can do in markets/foodmakers economy/traders

Supplying smaller markets as a travelling merchant and innkeeper is a great risk for me now.
The kill the principe of supplying regions.
And also the ressources for cheese, mulberry cake, meat soup and fish soup are hard to get.
The rats can damage things seriously, f.e. that someone without food, can´t travel to next regions, because of running out of food. It will take maybe ages to get to the next capital, where no rats are and food on the market.

NPC Small Rat, Phase 2

When you kill a small rat, it will drop a certain percentage of random items as follows:
5 sc 10%
1 rat tail 20%
1 doubloon 5%
1 piece of meat 15%
nothing 50%

When the rat eats, it will receive 3x glut from the eaten food.

The rat bite has a very small chance to inject the plague disease.

The violet potion, that cures the plague, will need a rat tail in order to be crafted.
2 Violet Potion
Source: Herbalist | Basic time: 8 hours
Ingredients:
1 Mushroom
1 Mandragora
1 Honey
1 Glass Bulb
1 Rat Tail

In order to cure one character from the disease, a clerical role (who is able to perform the cure) must have one violet potion in his inventory. The potion will be consumed by the action.

In this mission we will introduce the player to fighting. The player will need to search and kill at least 1 rat.

                                   
  THE RAT HUNT EVENT 1317

A new type of NPC, Large Rat will be introduced. This NPC features are : Health 40, Strength 6. Dex. 10, Intel. 10, const. 5

After the event, the Large Rat will remain in Medieval Europe with the following ratio:
Small Rat, 1.6 per player
Large Rat, 1.4 per player


The event will start on 24th July, at 10.00 server time, and will finish on 29th July at  10.00 hrs.

Calculating this issue in doubloon terms: recovering your health completely can cost you 70 doubloons, 8 HP is 12% of that, so every intense rat fighting day may cost you about 9 doubloons while, due to the recovery time, you lose work hours and, in consequence, the necessary income to buy more doubloons with silver and to replace body armor sooner or later. Additionally, there's some chance to get the plague every day.

This is fun economics, reminds me of the neverending plague of last year.

If you checked this forum to find why you are not allowed to buy food, now you know why.  We are forbidden to sell you food as of August 7.  Literally, if you do not own an inn and have access to fish or meat, you are not allowed to play this game unless you can trade for food without using a market.  Good luck.

Hi I rebalanced a bit the rats, because they don't have to become a nuisance.

New NPC  Chicken

Chicken are usefull because if you kill them they drop hen feathers which are needed to craft writing kits at the herbalist shop. From now on, you must equip a writing kit when you study at the academy to increase your charisma and your intelligence.

Chicken pecks and damages 2 points if you are not protected and if you are slower when you attack.

NPCs damage was not computed correctly (it was always computed as 1-3, like the damage of human fists). It has been corrected to min: 0.75 * NPC strength max: 1.25 * NPC strength.

The large dog´s attack is very strong, even if you are fully armored. Probably only maximized warriors can defeat a large dog without being bitten.

The Kingdom of Castilla and León provides resources to other kingdoms. Simply leave what you mine at the royal palace and send your events report to the King to get your payment, that will be delivered as soon as possible.
The King buys mulberries, Burgos has the best climate/terrain to grow them.
There is a royal programm of loans to buy the first terrain , shop or farm. First hut as well, after 90 days of age, in case of need.

Burgos fiefdom offers:
    work in building sites (check the present one; delivered wood in a building site is paid 1sc/ piece of wood and delivered stone is paid 1 sc / piece of stone, bricks are paid at 2 sc/ 1 brick; you will earn 3sc/hour when you work building a new structure)
    and also buys the medicinal herbs that are required in one of the  tutorial quests. (The basic price of a medical herb is 1.8 sc, the castle will buy at a max. price of 2 sc/med. herb)

The Real Colegio de Acogida gives a tool to every citizen after the first month of age, to help start an economic activity.
To send a tool to 30 days old citizens is part of the programm started by the Real Colegio de Acogida this Theos year of 1317.
We know it will be a waste of money and resources if the new citizens leave this world (the game), but if it is usefull for a few it will be worthwhile.

King Lello has just launched the programm of incentives for studying and training:

The Kingdom is about to try to reconquer a region, CÁDIZ,  that the natives took last year.  It will be good, specially for the younger members of the Army, to review how this works.

Conquering an Independent Region

An independent region will contain a small village  where natives are living in peace. In order to conquer a independent region all the natives should be killed.
The King will be able to write a Conquer Order and thus appoint from the Royal Chancery a Captain of the Guard to conquer a specific independent region. The order validity will be max seven days. Once written, the King must send the Order to the Captain.
To write a Conquer Order, a paper piece and a wax seal are required.
The Captain should start to organize the expedition eventually, using the Basic Group Management functionality.

We have learnt from the experience that only and exclusively the designated Guard Captain can launch the attack. 

Attacking the Natives:
Once a designated Guard Captain reaches the target region will find a small village where the natives live. Only the designated Guard Captain with a valid Conquer Order will be able to attack through a function Attack Natives embedded in the native village.
This function will allow him to initiate an attack by specifying the Military Group that he intends to use. Once initiated, the captain will be blocked for an hour. Soldiers are not blocked, but when the attack is launched, one hour after its declaration, they must not do any blocking action.

We have also learnt that the Guard Captain designated by the Regent has to create an Military group, that will have a maximum number of 50 members. A Mercenary or a Mercenary-Military group is not valid for a conquer attack against natives.

Group members who are sleeping/ recovering, are not in the region, are younger than 30 7 days, won't be able to fight.

The native fighting attributes, fighting power, number and equipment, will be directly related to the number of regions that belong to the attacking Kingdom.

If natives win  the region will remain Independent.
If soldiers win the region will be annexed to the Kingdom and automatically assigned to the Vassal that is in charge of the Capital castle.

Once a region is conquered it will contain the following structures:
A Resource (mine, breeding etc)
The Landfill
A small village

Battlefield

 This is a special structure that is automatically created in the region, where a battle. woll take place.
A battlefield will appear in the attacked region after some time. It will be possible for soldiers to travel directly into the battlefield.
 While in the battlefield, characters won't be able to access region structures and will be protected from arrest or restrain actions.
It will be possible to leave the battlefield either by accessing the region or by traveling to another region.

The Battlefield is created when:
Conquering Region (Within 48 hours after the announcement of the attack)
Wiki should be corrected, because any battle field is created in this case.
Raiding Region (Within 16 hours after the announcement of the raid)
Revolting (Within 48 hours after the announcement of the revolt)
Native Rebellions (Immediately after the start of the revolt)

While in the battlefield, a character can choose the side for which he can fight (according to the Rules ):

The player can change their choice at any time until the battle has not begun.
During the raid, all the loot is placed in storage of the Battlefield.
After the battle, the battlefield there are 18 hours and then automatically deleted.

About battlefields, I would like to add a note and a piece of advice by Lord Berton, Commander of the Armada Ibérica and Papal Guards:

Recalling my old times as captain, here we won't see a battlefield. Battlefields are created for any sort of battle, out of conquering independent region.
Remind too to pray a lot before and after battle, as the efficiency of cares given by priests is related to current faith level.

In a Conquer campaign there is no battlefield, and it is not possible to choose a side (defenders/attackers). The members of the Military group simply wait until the Guard Captain launches the attack.

What happens if the natives conquer a region?

Region will become Independent;
The correspondent resource (Mine, Forest ecc.) will be destroyed;
All the Government and Religious structures in them will be freezed and not accessible;
All the roles related to Government Structures and Building Sites will be cleared and dependance from other buildings cleared;
Private structures will be untouched by the natives but they won't be accessible anymore;
Residents of the region will become residents of the Kingdom Capital Region;
 Region will be unconquerable for a certain time (from 7 to 10 days) because in the initial days the natives are on guard and it’s impossible to take them by surprise.


When the natives took Algeciras, the resource silkfarm was lost, and the cows farm in Cádiz destroyed.

After the first merging of regions last 10 Apr, Algeciras (where there was a market , barracks and harbor) and Cádiz (where there was a tavern) have become a single region called CÁDIZ, where hopefully there is a Market,  a Tavern, a Harbor and Barracks and Prisons Level 1, although according to wiki, they are frozen and not available as they are under control of the natives.

I hope that if we regain Cádiz, these structures are accesible again. The structures are accesible after the conquest!!

 The conclusion is that WIKI is wrong, because when you craft ink bottles you produce 4 instead of 1.
That changes all the prices, and makes it possible to increase the price for mulberries and glass bottles. See please:
