On that day Lord Cagliostro was happy but at the same time nervous and impatient; when finally through the window he saw his promise he gave up his usual calm and ran anxiously. Every time he saw her he felt sensations unique and special to be sure that she was the right Lady for him. Immediately he touched her hand with his lips and gave  order to prepare the carriage, but soon he left gladly persuade for a walk. Among the narrow streets of the city teeming with people and beautiful market stalls of local craftsmen  the two lovers made their way to the Royal Palace alternating innocent smiles and furtive accomplices glances; when the entrance was blocked by the Royal Guards Prometeo greeted cordially their chief, as he had done for years now, and he asked to be announced to the Queen because she was waiting for them for a private audience.

Giulia listened a knock at the door and a page announced the arrival of Lord Cagliostro and Lady de Bas Serra.
- Your Majesty, Her Grace the Duchess of Quirra, accompanied by His Grace the Duke of Liege, are asking for an audience.

Giulia nodded in assent, put the papers she was reading in front of her and then raising her eyes said smiling
- To what do I owe this pleasure, Your Grace?

- A cosa devo l'onore, Vostra Grazia?

Sorry to interrupt, and sorry no interpretation.  But outside Brugges, on the water, and celebrating the same stellar event is Me.  Rachel.  And others.  We're passing by and different from last year we are not in a celebratory mood nor intoxivated.  This night when the day is longest, and the night very short, I and others are racing past Brugge but near.  We have many things to accomplish, like the extraction of ores, but while the boys furiously row for their prize, so does Rachel (me) ride, chewing a little Cows jerky (alike soup in-game but dry).

She thinks of time past, the years, and as "the fields of" Flanders rapidly passes a spirit descends on Rachel, tattoo'd and criminal, and she is reminded of oaths, promises she never promised, and fates designed by the stars.  On what night, more, is this appropriate?

Look thee to the skies and be enlightened, beloved.  And to you all in Brugges, be loved.  *wave

It was morning and the dawn looked out on the horizon , outside the city walls .

He walking slowly , wearing a coat torn now reduced to the bone, clutching between his hands a bassoon with few personal effects .

By now he was traveling from long time and had almost forgotten the joys of living in the community. His wanderings along the had brought to lose many ounces, dark face and tired, who spoke with all at least once . This happy event gives him a serenity and a rhythm now almost forgotten, a smile appeared on the face of the man when a " brat" tripped over his feet while chasing a plucked chicken.

Will reached for the baby, che holding back tears with dishes like a real man would not help and ran .

" I think I will be fine here ... "

after quietly whisper a sigh of peace ...

William returned home from the training grounds after another hard training session.
The city of Brugge had been more alive than he had ever seen before. He felt proud of it's beauty.

He had read the letter from the Lioness of Flanders, his Queen, to whom he swore loyalty.
The midsummer festival he mumbled to himself while entering his little hut.
He found some cheese on the shelves, he had stocked up a bit as soon as he had read the letter.
Lots of people were coming over to celebrate, train, study, party, eat and drink.
He needed food for himself, to keep on the daily routine. He wasn't really in a festival mood.
The only thing that had changed for him this week, besides the even busier streets between his hut and the training grounds, were the free sessions he was following now.

Tired he fell onto the bed. When he woke up he would take a jog to the training grounds again, just like all the days of the previous month. He had to improve so Brugge would never again be the victim of a raid. He would have to keep his fellow countryman safe in the future.
He remembered the tears in his eyes when he heard of the raid on Brugge, the powerless feeling that gave him.
But now he just feels proud. Proud of the Flemish people that has rebuild the city so fast, so all the guests could marvel at it's beauty.

A beauty to protect and to share.

She had stopped in watching a bank of clothes when she felt behind her the Breeze.
She turned and smailed at Alain - Welcome back, my husband-to-be. I hope you're not too tired there are plenty of things to see!
In  laughing she dragged him around the market fascinated by all goods as a child. She was so happy to be with him again and she was so young, indeed.

Lord Cagliostro and Lady De Bas Serra bowed in front of the Queen, who invited them to get up with a smile and a slight wave of his hand. Prometeo then looked into the face of his beloved and, seeing in her a little state of emotion because she was not accustomed to being received at Court, came forward and said addressed the Queen Aldobrandeschi:
"We send our gifts Your Highness; You know what I feel towards you my Queen: admiration, esteem, gratitude mingle with each other and I owe you all my gratitude for teaching me the values that I try to defend in every where. For this reason, in this day of celebration, we are here, in front of you, and we ask Your blessing for our union in marriage. Lady Pretziosa De Bas Serra, of noble origins and high moral values, in name of this love that today we declare to you and to all the Flemish people, did not hesitate to leave her Kingdom and her friends to join me. This love so strong to withstand the threats of war of powerful Kings, to prevail to the envy and the distance at which too often war forced us ... this love before which we both want to surrender and subdue. We therefore ask , in Your name and in name of Flemish people of which we are proud to be a part, Your blessing and a willingness to share with us such a special moment of our existence. "
Immediately after pronouncing these words dictated by emotion and heart Lord Prometeo looked her straight in the eye and delights a knowing smile sprang from their lips.

Giulia looked at the couple standing in front of her. In crossing their eyes she recognized the deep emotion  provoked in him by those words and the radiant joy of her, despite the apparent timidity. She was knowing Lord Cagliostro for so long as the memory faded in her mind, replaced by his constant  and loyal presence at her side and she was beginning to know and appreciate Lady De Bas Serra.

She nodded and  formally said in answering - Your Graces, you do not need my approval to this marriage, being  your rank equal and it not being driven by political reasons or otherwise. With deep joy I give you my blessing, and I wish you all the best for your future.

Shining  in a gentle smile she added - Lord Cagliostro, my dear and devoted friend, you could not choose more propitious celebration for your union.
I'm sure Lady De Bas Serra will find in you a deep love and a support will never waver.

Looking on her she added - Lady De Bas Serra, devotely kept the purity of heart of your husband-to-be, it's so rare to meet as so equal.

She paused and then added, renewing her blessing - Go and may the light of your love shine ever winner as the sunlight of Midsummer.

Sun was still high up good several hours until celebration. Budrys ask for some refreshments for his tired escorts and chamberlain directed several servants to take care of that. Then he himself was led to his guest room. Queen was still busy meeting her nobles. Chamberlain explain politely. Budrys used time for changing closes from travellers cape with church emblem to red silk tunic adored with silver badge of office. He also groomed his short beard and very long flowing black curly hair . Not long after doing that he received lord chamberlain again inviting him for private audience with the Queen. While going throe the the hall Budrys observed young couple kissing hastily in shadow behind column. He smiled gently and proceded to Queens private rooms. Lord chamberlain entered to announce his presents

Giulia was still smiling at the thought of the forthcoming  marriage between Lord Cagliostro and Lady De Bas Serra, when she heard the Lord Chamberlain announcing the visit of Primicerius Budrys.
She gently smiled seeing him dressed according to his role as head of the pagan community and said - Primicerius Budrys, is an immense pleasure to have you visiting again in Brugge during the celebrations for the Midsummer.
She was going to invite him to have a sit when she changed idea and asked - Do you prefer talk here or would you like to visit the Palace gardens in the meanwhile?

It is a true pleasure to see you again Giulia. You look even more magnificent then I remember Said Budrys after kissing her to each cheek. Weather is magnificent here I would truly love to talk more outside. I have seen your preparations for celebrations, most impressive. City radiate with joy as well as country side.
They walked deeper to the garden until they were further from servants eyes and ears.

For the first time Pretziosa had the honor to meet the Sovereign Flemish . Their relations were mainly letters , but over time the respect had grown along with it the basis for a future knowledge .

The woman handed him his respects to the Queen , bowing and listened to the words that excited his promised pronounced , quivering with joy to become his bride . She was delighted to receive his blessing she received with a slight bow of the head , and after promising to take care of Lord Cagliostro , his great friend , she took leave , leaving his many commitments .

Before the two promised bridegrooms  go away, Giulia also said, turning to the Duchess of Quirra - Lady De Bas Serra,  I would be pleased to meet you again after celebrations beginning.

Sure on her agreement, she dismissed them with a smile.

Giulia brightly smiled at those words and they headed outside in the Palace garden. First they walked the main one, obtained in one among the outdoor courtyards of the palace.
A long row of beeches along the wall and many fruit trees in the interior side, a very shady and blooming place.

Then, they crossed a heavy gate, entering a smaller and different garden. In one side there was a large flowerbed, ordered in geometric designs where many officinal herbs were growing due to Giulia's herbalist interests. All the Palace walls were covered by wild climbing roses of many colors, but white
was the most present. Finally in the opposite side there were a row of birches and below a stone bench.

Pointing to the roses  Giulia said - Wild climbing roses are my favorites, Budrys. Then she sat on the bench, waving Budrys to do the same.
She looked at the sun  narrowing her eyes and said - This is my personal garden, the place where I find refuge for a few peaceful whiles and where I may feel harmony with all around.

Budrys sat besides the Queen. Breathing cool and fresh air of the garden. Your architect work is exquisite , it is a wonder what men can create with his ingenuity. Still his power always gets humiliated by beauty larger and more natural that is beyond our understanding and is perceived only throe admiration. I look at the design of geometric designs, but its nothing against symmetry and smell of the rose He took of his chain ruby encrusted within silver columns giving it to Giulia. Or this chain most talented jeweller shaped it, but even he is shamed by nature Who created such beauty like You.
