Taking up new duties
« on: 24 August, 2014, 04:06:42 PM »
Arn inspected the prisons and the state they were in. As the new guard captain of Slesvig, he had to make sure, that no one imprisoned here could escape the confines of his/hers cell.
Even though all the cells were vacant at the moment, a good sweeping was needed. Not that Arn really cared about the health of the criminals to be incarcirated here, but the queen might come to inspect the job of her new captain.

"Pride in what you do makes a person" Arn says to himself hearing the eccoes of the room

On the upper floors a nice sized room were vacant as well. Arn was pleased, for even though the prison wasent the best place in town, the room was spacious and could easily be turned into a decent place to rest and work.

As time goes by many decisions have been made some minor and some even lifechanging.

Arn was looking at his "home" for the past year trying to determine if the felling he has right now is sadnees or relief.

With he his decision to leave his office as guard captain and hand over the leadership to Sigurd Tott his life feels somewhat emptier. The prospect of moving to Södermann and spend time with his friend Axel was weighing heavily on the scale as well.

All in all ... life was going to different indeed but without complications.

Arn always knew this day would come. To be within reach of the unreachable is a torment. A strain upon him far worse than any battle fought.

He had to do this.
